A number of unknown gunmen torched another two mosques in northern Baghlan province early Monday, local sources said.
The incident took place in Amer Sher Ali area of Dand-e-Ghori in Pul-e-Khumri, the provincial capital, said sources. Acording to them, "unknown gunmen also clashed with local residents and fled the area."
"So far the gunmen's identity is unknown," the sources said.
This comes just days after gunmen caused extensive damage to five mosques in the same area after setting them alight.
No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incident as yet.
But Dand-e-Ghori residents said recently that Daesh is active in the area.
The police have meanwhile launched an investigation into the incident.
