Roadside Blast in Ghazni Leaves 12 Dead

At least 12 civilians were killed Friday in Ghazni province of Afghanistan, local officials.

Deputy governor Ahmad Ali, while confirming the blast said that the incident occurred in Khogyani area of Qarabagh district of Ghazni province when a passenger vehicle hit a road side mine.

The victims were all members of one family, Ali said.

According to Ahmad Ali children and women are among the victims.

No insurgent group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incident.
