A civilian and a policeman were killed in a roadside mine blast in eastern Laghman province on Saturday, local officials said.
The incident took place in Alishing district of the province after a police vehicle struck a roadside mine at a bazaar. One policeman and a civilian were killed, provincial governor spokesman Sarhadi Zwok said.
The police have started investigations into the blast, he said.
No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incident.
